When I say stop eating easy carbohydrates, it’s not that I am telling you to try a no carb diet. Actually it’s virtually impossible to cut carbs out of your diet completely. And you don’t wish to cut carbs fully, you wish to cut simple carbohydrates.

If you’re running a marathon for instance, or you’re walking across the country, your body wants that quick energy it can get from easy carbs. Many of us hardly walk around the mall once each week though. Instead, we sit on the sofa and watch television, or ride around comfortably in our vehicles. We live reasonably sedentary lives. And because of that, our bodies have little need for the fast energy that easy carbs give it. If we eat them anyhow, even though we don’t need them, and the body will convert them to fat and store them for when we do need it.

We keep giving our body more simple carbohydrates it can’t use, so it keeps converting those carbohydrates into more fat. It never burns any of it. So if you want to lose the extra fat you have, and stop adding more that you don’t need, you have to start limiting how much fast straightforward energy foods you feed to your body.

This is an easy concept that many folk misunderstand. They don’t appear to realize that dumping easy carbohydrates is dissimilar than getting rid of all carbohydrates. Natural foods will give you the carbohydrates you want. Leafy spinach for instance, broccoli, and cauliflower are all wonderful examples of healthy techniques to get complex carbs with the vitamins and minerals your body actually wants. Eating those types of foods, although they do contain carbs, is completely fine to do. In fact, it’s powerfully encouraged that you eat as much of those as you need. Or cakes, or cookies, or any of those other straightforward carbohydrates we just talked about. Try beginning your meals with a giant salad, or a generous helping of plants. This can help fill you up, cause you to feel satisfied, provide your body with extra fiber that it needs , and only give it the sorts of carbohydrates it can actually use instead of those that add fat to your body.
